You could buy an ordinary mailbox post to hold up your mailbox. Or, you can buy one that makes a statement.

There’s nothing ordinary about a rock-solid timber frame mailbox post from Pioneer’s Pride. You’ll put it together with a mallet and little else. That’s because the mortise and tenon joints are secured with wooden pegs.

Timber framing was a common building method used for centuries all over the world. The oldest barns in America were built with “beam and post” construction and many are still in use today.

There is simply no substitute for timber framing when it comes to long-lasting charm and durability. This post tells the world that the past matters to you and that you’re unwilling to compromise on quality.

This is the only mailbox post you’ll ever want. Our kit includes everything you need including easy-to-follow assembly instructions. (Sorry, but the hole is not included.) Paint, Stain or finish it to make it your very own.

It is not necessary to treat hemlock wood to withstand the weather, as hemlock wood will weather naturally. However, if you don’t prefer the natural weathered gray color, hemlock can be stained. It entirely depends on the look you wish to achieve. To preserve the original color, a clear stain is recommended. Adding a sealer will enhance the life of the hemlock wood’s appearance. Also, hemlock wood is highly resistance to insects.

(Paint, Stain, Finish, Mailbox, and Numbering Plate are NOT INCLUDED.)
